YoYoJam news – Well, there are a couple bits of YoYoJam news as reported on YoYoJam.com, first bit of news is that they don’t really have any news right now… but they will have some soon. The second bit of news is that Ann Connolly has left team YoYoJam… and the gossip that kind of goes a long with that is will Ann be joining team YoYoFactory? She said a couple months ago that she is a free agent… but we’ll see how long that last. In any case, Ann is a fantastic player and we look forward to seeing what she does in the future and we wish her the best of luck.
On silicone, steel and plastic – Chris from HSpin has posted on the blog some more indepth information about the response system 2.0 that they utilized with the NVx. A couple of key points of the blog post is that he insists that the recess on the NVx can be silicone, and I guess I can see that, it’s kind of shallow but it is deep enough in relation to its width that flowable silicone will stay put in it. The second point is about the bearing, there was some concern over the plastic sleeve and whether or not mineral spirits or lighter fluid would destroy the bearing and he says that the plastic is very strong and resilient and should withstand normal cleaning. I know that’s what Kirby experienced.
